Coroner's officials announced today they did not find the body of a missing Lomita woman at a restaurant owned by her husband, who .
The announcement came after two days of searching and digging up the floor of Thyme Contemporary Cafe in Lomita, where investigators believed Dawn Viens' body was hidden.
Dawn, 39, is the wife of David Viens, 47, owner of the Lomita cafe. Her husband is a suspect in her murder and disappearance. David last week and on suspicion of killing her.
He admitted to killing his wife Tuesday.
Investigators began to dig up parts of the floor at the Lomita restaurant Tuesday and used a cadaver dog helped search the property at 24427 Narbonne Ave.
Viens was in serious condition as of Tuesday at County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center after his nearly 90-foot fall last week and is still undergoing surgeries for his injuries.
Once Viens is well enough, he'll be charged and arraigned for his wife's murder and sent to jail, sheriff's homicide Lt. Dave Coleman said.
