Man Arrested in Skateboard Theft
Steve Nocon is accused of stealing an expensive skateboard in May.
A 20-year-old San Pedro man was arrested Thursday in connection with the theft of an expensive skateboard from a Rancho Palos Verdes park in May.
Steve Nocon, 20, was taken into custody by detectives from the Los Angeles County sheriff's Parks Bureau, who served a search warrant at his home, according to Deputy Paul Schrader.
Nocom and two other males confronted the male skateboard owner May 30 on a road near Deane Dana Friendship Park in Rancho Palos Verdes and stole the skateboard—a long board valued at about $300—after threatening bodily harm, Schrader said.

"Anytime there is a crime, and we get information that leads us to solve it, we're going to get a warrant," Schrader told City News Service. "That's our job."
Nocon was booked at the sheriff's Lomita Station and held on $50,000 bail, Schrader said.
