Local Firefighters Are 'Family'

Our South Bay spotlights Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 106 in Rolling Hills Estates.

Members of Fire Station 106 in Rolling Hills Estates spend each day responding to different challenges on the Peninsula, from brush fires to horse rescues, but the 30 firefighters couldn't do their job without each other.

“My crew and I are a family, and we rely on each other,” Captain Phil Schneider told Our South Bay in an article about area firemen.

Beyond responding to fires, Station 106 supports community causes, like the Rescue Youth Program and Muscular Dystrophy Association, according to the report.
