LACFD Responds to Brush Fire Near Abalone Cove

Los Angeles County Fire Department officials are responding to a half-acre brush fire that broke out about 3 p.m. today on the private Point View property adjacent to Palos Verdes Drive South, across the street from .
Wet conditions created by appeared to slow the grass fire, according to a statement issued by Rancho Palos Verdes officials.
"It appears at this time that the Los Angeles County Fire Department has the situation well in hand," the statement said.
