Firefighters Rescue 4 from Sinking Boat

Firefighters rescued four people from a sinking boat off the coast of San Pedro today, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The incident was reported at 1:12 p.m. and within 20 minutes, a rescue team arrived in LAFD boats, said spokesperson Katherine Main.

No injuries were reported, and firefighters were working to pump out the sinking vessel, she said.

What caused the boat to take on water was unknown, Main said.
