Drop Off Toys for Kids in Need

Palos Verdes residents can drop off new toys at local L.A. Sheriff's stations until Christmas Eve.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department will accept toys for needy children at sheriff's stations throughout the county until Dec. 24.

Palos Verdes residents can drop off new and unwrapped toys in gift-wrapped bins located in the lobby of every patrol station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Gifts should have a value of at least $10 and be appropriate for children between the ages of 1 and 16.

The new toys are given to children who attend schools adopted by the local sheriff's stations, and to the children of members of the United States Armed Forces serving the country overseas, according to the LASD.

Residents on the Peninsula who want to donate gifts can visit the department's , 26123 Narbonne Ave. in Lomita.
