Deputies Patrolling Rancho PV Beaches by Car, ATV and Horseback This Summer

You will see our mobile command post deployed at the beach alongside L.A. County Lifeguards, deputies say. Feel free to come by and say hello!

From the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Lomita Station:

This summer, Lomita deputies in patrol cars, ATVs, and on horseback will be on the trails and area beaches as part of Operation Surf & Saddle.

Their mission is to conduct parking enforcement along Palos Verdes Drive South and in neighborhoods adjacent to beach areas, as well as to protect the marine environment by enforcing conservation laws and addressing all other public order violations.

The goal of this operation is to maximize safety and ensure the security of our local area beaches for the people who want to enjoy our coastline, as well as minimize the impact that the influx of residents and visitors alike have on the environment and surrounding community.

You will see our mobile command post deployed at the beach alongside L.A. County Lifeguards, as we will maintain a static presence there during the periods of highest activity. Feel free to come by and say hello!
