Police ID Body Found at Bottom of Cliff as Redondo Man

The man has been identified as Redondo Beach resident Joey Choudhury.

A body that was found at the bottom of a 200-foot cliff in Palos Verdes Estates on Monday has been identified as that of Redondo Beach resident Joey Choudhury, Los Angeles County coroner's office spokesperson Larry Dietz confirmed.

Dietz said that investigators have not yet determined a cause of death of the 37-year-old man who police said was initially reported as a missing person in Redondo Beach. However, the Daily Breeze reports that Choudhury's death is currently being investigated as a suicide.

On Sunday, Palos Verdes Estates police found Choudhury's unoccupied, illegally parked car in the 1300 block of Palos Verdes Drive West and discovered that Choudhury was reported as a missing person, according to Palos Verdes Estates police Sgt. Tony Gonzalez.
