Child Porn Found in RPV Homeless Encampment
Andres Torres admitted the child pornography found in a Rancho Palos Verdes Homeless Encampment was his, authorities said.
A detective from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lomita Station was investigating a burglary at a homeless encampment when he discovered what appeared to be child pornography, authorities said Monday.
The detective was conducting a follow-up investigation Thursday at the encampment in the 600 block of Indian Peak Road in Rancho Palos Verdes when he discovered what appeared to be abandoned property. While he was investigating to determine the owner, he discovered it contained child pornography.
The case was presented to the District Attorney's Office Monday and one count of possession of child pornography was filed against Andres Torres, 47, who admitted the child pornography was his, authorities said.

If convicted, Torres could face up to three years in state prison and then would have to register as a sex offender, authorities said
Torres' bail was set a $20,000, said sheriff's Sgt. Peter Hahn.
