Burglar Makes off with $2K in Cash and a U.S. Passport

Between 11 a.m. Feb. 16 and 7 a.m. Feb. 18, a house on Sorrel Lane was broken into. There were no signs of forced entry and deputies believe the thief may have entered through an unlocked door. Taken were $2,000 and a U.S. passport. Deputies have no suspects at this time.

At 12:23 a.m. on Feb. 17, a store on Peninsula Center was burglarized. According to the report, two suspects smashed a front window display and stole 10 Net Gear routers, 30 Skull Candy earbuds and two Boost Mobile cellphones. The suspects reportedly escaped in a silver SUV heading eastbound on Silver Spur Road.
