Beresford-Redman Murder Case Featured on '48 Hours'

The former Palos Verdes resident and television producer is standing trial in Mexico for the alleged murder of his wife.

The Mexican murder case involving television producer and former Rancho Palos Verdes resident Bruce Beresford-Redman was featured last week on the CBS television show 48 Hours.

Beresford-Redman was accused of killing his wife, Monica, while on vacation in Cancun in 2010. While authorities said he killed his wife in their hotel room, Beresford-Redman maintained his wife left the hotel and never returned, 48 Hours reported.

As Mexican authorities built a case against him, Beresford-Redman was arrested seven months later and held at the federal detention center in Los Angeles, reported 48 Hours.
