2 Injured in Crash Near RHE Border

The fiery crash occurred in Torrance between Rolling HIlls Road and Via Valmonte.

A vehicle crashed into a pole and caught fire in Torrance near the Rolling Hills Estates border on Wednesday morning, injuring two people, authorities said.

The crash in the 25000 block of Hawthorne Boulevard—between Via Valmonte and Rolling Hills Road—was reported around 1:20 a.m., said the watch commander at the Torrance Police Department.

The man who was driving and a woman were taken to a hospital by Los Angeles County firefighters, a news photographer reported from the scene.
