One man is killed and another critically injured in a rollover crash in Rancho Palos Verdes.

One man was killed and another critically injured in an early-morning crash today in Rancho Palos Verdes.

The single-vehicle rollover crash was reported just after midnight at 31501 Palos Verdes Drive West near the .

Both victims were ejected from their 2010 Range Rover after it hit the road's center divider and then the guardrail while heading west, said Sgt. Dave Rozas of the . The car rolled over after it hit the divider.

The driver, a Rancho Palos Verdes resident in his mid-30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, who is in his late 20s, was taken to County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he is in critical condition. Sheriff's deputies have not released the names of the victims.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Palos Verdes Drive South was closed between Hawthorne Boulevard and Terranea Way in both directions because of the crash. It was reopened about 7 a.m.
