Blog: PVPLC Celebrates 25 Years of Conservation

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy celebrates 25 years of conservation.

This year, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy celebrates 25 years of preserving and protecting open space on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. What a wonderful time to commemorate all of the accomplishments our community has achieved. The Conservancy is particularly proud of efforts that led to the preservation of 1,600 acres of rare coastal sage scrub habitat and trails offering magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean. We know this would never have been possible without a steadfast community of supporters—volunteers, family foundations, elected officials, government agencies, community organizations coming together to fulfill a dream of preserving our special places.

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy will continue to serve our community by restoring scarce native coastal vegetation to benefit endangered and rare wildlife species. Through its education programs, nature walks and volunteer opportunities the Land Conservancy encourages the community to appreciate and enjoy our nature preserves. Our long term commitment to the community is to keep our open space preserved for future generations. Thank you for your support and all you do to make this possible.
