Goodbye, and Thank You!

Thank you, Palos Verdes, for making my time at Patch memorable.

As some of you already know, Patch laid off hundreds of my colleagues and me on Wednesday as part of a restructuring of the entire company.

The past year and a half covering my hometown of Palos Verdes—as well as nearly three years reporting on Redondo Beach—have been a thrill. Since taking over Palos Verdes Patch from the previous editor, I've written stories on elections, fires, lots of traffic accidents, police activity, equestrian issues and activities, high school rivalries, and more. There are too many stories to count.

But I couldn't have done it without all of you, the readers. You sent me news tips; you supported me during rough times; you occasionally drove me crazy; and you helped me be the best reporter I could be.

Thank you.

Palos Verdes Patch won't die without me; it belongs to you. Continue to submit your events, blog posts and announcements. Connect with your neighbors. Don't let this grand experiment fail.

I don't know yet what my next steps are, but I can be reached at nicole.mooradian@gmail.com—and if you see me around town, say hi!
