Brews News: Learn How to Brew Beer

A look at what is happening on the craft beer scene in the South Bay of Los Angeles.

Ever wanted to brew beer in the comfort of your own home?

For those wanting to know how it is done, the Strand Brewers Homebrew Club will be hosting a homebrewing demonstration this weekend at the South Bay Brewing Supply store in Torrance.

"If you are interested in learning to brew, this is a great opportunity to see firsthand how it is done," Strand Brewers club president Rives Borland said. "Feel free to come and just observe or get your hands dirty pitching in and we will get you involved in actually doing some of the work."

The demonstration will take place from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the South Bay Brewing Supply store located at 1311 Post Avenue in Old Torrance. The event is free and open to anyone interested in learning the brewing process.
