At the Nov. 12 RHE city council meeting, it was decided to issue a Temporary Use Permit to the Rolling Hills United Methodist Church and Country Day School.County Botanic Garden is not under RHE purview since its property belongs to unincorporated Los Angeles County, so an MOU will be drafted with the Botanic Gardens. The permit will allow sharing of parking lots via a path allowing pedestrians to access each lot by walking across the Botanic Garden Trail. The TUP will include conditions such as advance notice and appropriate signage - to be determined by staff along with input from the equestrian community via Equestrian Committee meetings. Additional issues such as easements will be considered when the church applies for a Conditional Use Permit as part of the application process for a planned upgrade/improvement to their facilities.
