Palos Verdes Enjoys Early Fright Fest

Residents get into the spooky spirit at the Halloween Spooktacular event in Rancho Palos Verdes.

Superheroes, fairies and other colorful characters descended upon Saturday for an afternoon of Halloween Spooktacular fun.

The event featured games, a costume parade and contest, and a vaccine and microchip clinic for pets.

Visitors also got a chance to decorate pumpkins and fit them with wheels for a wildly popular pumpkin race.
