The Fort MacArthur Museum is home to a variety of exhibit and displays that illustrate area's place in local military history, including early American Air Defenses and the role of Los Angeles as a military port for the Army and Navy, American Pacific Theater military campaigns and the history of Los Angeles harbor defenses.
A U.S. Army post guarding the Los Angeles harbor from 1914 to 1974, Fort MacArthurs rooms, galleries and corridors are open to the public on Tuesdays, Thursdays, weekends and holidays. Special tours are made by arrangement.
