Community Corner

Be a Santa to a Senior

Home Instead Senior Care of Torrance invites holiday shoppers to participate in the 8th Annual Be a Santa to a Senior community outreach program that provides holiday gifts and visits to socially isolated and low-income seniors throughout the South Bay.

Here's how it works!

•Shoppers can visit the "Santa" Holiday Tree that is in the lobby of the Spectrum Athletic Club.  Pick an ornament from the tree.  It will have the name of a senior and gift ideas.

•Purchase the gift and return it—unwrapped and with the gift tag—to a staff person at the tree location.

This year, it is expected that more than 800 seniors will receive the gifts, which will be wrapped at a special community-wide gift wrapping party.
