PV PENINSULA COORDINATING COUNCIL PRESENTS, “STATE OF PENINSULA LIBRARIES AND SCHOOLS,” A FREE COMMUNITY PROGRAM SET FOR JANUARY
24 The Palos Verdes Peninsula Coordinating council presents “State of Peninsula Libraries and Schools: Palos Verdes Library District and Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District,” a free community program, Thursday, January 24, 2014, noon. The program will be held in the Peninsula Center Library Community Room, 701 Silver Spur Road, Rolling Hills Estates. The program is free and open to the public. Speakers will include Walker Williams, Superintendent, PVP Unified School District, and Kathy Gould, Director, Palos Verdes Library District. Join us for an informative presentation on the state of our local public schools and libraries. Following the presentations, a free “behind the scenes” tour of the Peninsula Center Library will be offered. This program is co-sponsored by the Palos Verdes Peninsula American Association of University Women. Reservations are necessary only for those who want to order a Bristol Farms box lunch for $10.00. Place your lunch order to Betty Reider, 310-377-5831 by noon Monday, January 21, 2014. The Palos Verdes Peninsula Coordinating Council, formed in 1956, provides programs of interest to the community and publishes a CALENDAR of community events as a service to the community.  The CALENDAR is printed and distributed to members, and is also available at www.palosverdes.com/cc. Membership in the PVP Coordinating Council is open to individuals and organizations. The membership fee of $25 supports the printing and mailing of the monthly CALENDAR and the annual Teen Service and Community Service Awards.
