"Signatures" Up Tempo Beach Boys Themed Runway Show of Wearable Art

Saturday, May 3, 2014 in the Atrium of the Palos Verdes
Art Center! Begin with a champagne luncheon, followed by the Californian
Dreamin’ fashion show and boutique of one-of-a-kind wearable art from The
Artists’ Studio of Palos Verdes Art Center.



The luncheon begins at 12:30, followed by a runway show at
1:30 and boutique visit at 2:30.  Tickets
are  $40 if purchased by April 1st
($45 thereafter) -- tickets must be purchased in advance. Send your check (made
out to TAS) for the number of tickets desired to Gabrielle, P. O. Box 3419, Palos
Verdes Peninsula, CA 90274. To charge tickets by phone call The Artists’ Studio
Gallery, 424-206-9902 or purchase in person at either of our galleries. Orders
received by April 25 will be mailed; after that date, tickets will be available
at the door. Seating is limited, so please be sure to reserve early.  Be sure to note with whom you wish to sit
when making your reservation.



This year's runway will feature 60 ensembles of wearable
art, clothing, jewelry and accessories, created by 22 artists for day, evening, or special events.

The works included in the show will represent a broad range of techniques: 
hand-painting, batik,­ quilting, appliqué, machine and hand knitting,
embroidery, beading, shibori, crocheting, surface design, embellishment and
felting.  Jewelry techniques include ornate work employing precious metal clay, copper, brass, silver, and gold, as
well as­ creations from antique and collectors beads, gem, and semi-precious
stones. We look forward to your attendance.
