Dr. Eastman will be discussing the future of Proposition 8 in California, the import of the decision in Perry v Hollingsworth as well as the decision in the Federal defense of Marriage Act and where we go from here in the fight to save traditional marriage.
Dr. John Eastman is Chairman of the National Organization for Marriage and Founding Director of the Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, a public interest law firm affiliated with Claremont Institute.
He clerked for Justice Clarence Thomas at the Supreme Court of the United States and with Judge J. Michael Luttig at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
He earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School,graduating with high honors in 1995. In 2010, he sought the Republican nomination for California Attorney General.Dr. Eastman earned his Ph.D and M.A. in Government from the Claremont Graduate School and his BA in Politics and Economics from the University of Dallas.
