Animotion Pictures presents Persepolis

Do you enjoy watching innovative animated features from the
United States and abroad?  Then, please
join us for “Animotion Pictures,” a new film program at the library which
showcases extraordinary animated movie-making from around the world. 



“Persepolis” is this month’s screening.  During
the Islamic Revolution a defiant Iranian girl named Marjane comes of age and
attempts to find her true self during times of turmoil. Based on the award
winning graphic novel autobiography, this French film is also directed by the
original author Marjane Satrapi and was nominated for the 2007 Academy Award
for Best Animated Feature.
