A Radical Friendship, Starring Ed Asner and Jason George

A RADICAL FRIENDSHIP, a new theatrical play which celebrates the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, and stars acclaimed actors Ed Asner and Jason George, will be presented at the Harlyne J. Norris Pavilion on January 19th at 7:30 p.m. This staged reading, which is being organized by San Pedro's Temple Beth El, will depict one of the most important relationships of the civil rights movement: the bond between Martin Luther King, Jr. and Abraham Joshua Heschel, a Polish-born rabbi. Jason George (Grey's Anatomy) will play King, while Ed Asner, winner of seven Emmy Awards (The Mary Tyler Moore Show) will play Heschel. Written by American Jewish University Whizin Center instructor and star of the original Rocky, Jane Marla Robbins, A RADICAL FRIENDSHIP shows the very human sides of these celebrated personalities. Regular tickets are $36 for general open seating and $54 for reserved premium seating. For more information about tickets, please call or visit the Norris Box Office (310) 544-0403 extension 221.
