Got Park?

Info on how your name can be on the new skate park

On June 12, 2012, the City Council of Rolling Hills Estates approved an allocation of land at Ernie Howlett Park for a skate park. Skatepark PV, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit has pledged to raise money for the design and construction of the skate park.

Skatepark PV is currently soliciting major donors to kick off their fundraising campaign. All donors' names and/or entities will be presented at the skate park site. Since Skatepark PV is a non-profit, all donations are tax-deductible. This is an excellent opportunity to support active recreation for the youth of our community by providing a safe and welcoming venue for skateboarding. If you are interested in having your name on a local park, please contact SkateparkPV at skateparkpv@gmail.com.

Next steps include development of a Request for Proposal to skatepark design and construction companies. Once the contractor is selected, SkateparkPV will invite local skaters to aid in the design process. Their input will be invaluable. Local pro skater Kenny Anderson will be leading up the design aspect of the park. Kenny has literally skated all over the globe and knows exactly what good skate park design is.
