Blog: Barbecue for Skatepark PV

Skatepark PV, Inc. participates in barbecue fundraiser to add to the building fund of a skate park at Ernie Howlett Park.

Whole Foods Torrance, at Crenshaw and Pacific Coast Highway, hosted a three-hour barbecue to benefit Skatepark PV, Inc. Marketing Manager Gabe Duprin, a former skateboarder, said that Whole Foods promotes healthy living. One hour of skateboarding burns 278 calories, an activity that keeps kids fit.

Promoting healthy living and eating, the barbecue menu included Grassfed beef from Homegrown Meats, a local cattle company, kale salad and a drink.

The event was a big success, selling out all the burgers.
