Skate park plans

Members of the Rancho Palos Verdes City Council for a skate park location in the city. Original plans called for a skate park at Lower Hesse Park. Residents spoke out for and against the park and proposed locations at Tuesday's meeting.

Traffic concerns

Palos Verdes Estates residents at a Traffic Safety Committee meeting for increased traffic calming measures this week.

Outside of Palos Verdes, of upcoming construction on the 405 freeway. They were urged by officials to completely avoid the 405 on July 16 and 17 when a 10-mile stretch will be shut for construction work.

In the first spot in the 36th Congressional District runoff election, Democrat Janice Hahn that she says Republican rival Craig Huey shares with former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
