Gas prices keep climbing

Hill rivalry heats up

The Panthers baseball team 5-4 on Friday. The Panthers , 3-1, Wednesday at Palos Verdes. Peninsula Coach Dennis Gonsalves said: "To sweep your first series against your biggest rival is very special.”

Drug-dog could come to PV High

At forum Wednesday night, of bringing a drug-sniffing dog to Palos Verdes High School. School officials said the dog hopefully would deter students from using and bringing drugs on campus. The PVPUSD Board of Education would still have to approve the dog before it comes to campus as soon as this spring.

Sick sea lions in South Bay

More than 40 sick sea lions in the past weeks. Sea lions suffering from domoic acid poisoning—a naturally occurring biotoxin found in algae blooms off the California coast—have been rescued.
