Redondo Beach:

A traditional Veterans Day ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. at the new Redondo Beach Veterans Memorial in , 309 Esplanade, by the .

The event is sponsored by the City of Redondo Beach and the Redondo Beach Veterans Memorial Task Force. Service will include commentary, music and honors to all veterans of the American military.

The event will be followed by a barbecue at the adjacent Redondo Elks Lodge. The barbecue is free for veterans and military members. For other members of the public, the cost is $5. RSVP to KarenBuchanan@hotmail.com

Manhattan Beach:

The city will hold a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. at North Valley Drive and 15th Street, near the Veterans Monument.

The event will include music, a presentation by the mayor, in addition to the City of Manhattan Beach Police Department Color Guard.

Additional events:

  • San Fernando Valley Veterans Day Parade in Pacoima, set to begin at 11:11 a.m. The parade will begin at the corner of Laurel Canyon and San Fernando Mission boulevards and end at Ritchie Valens Park at Laurel Canyon and Paxton Street.
  • Forest Lawn Memorial Park-Hollywood Hills' 52nd annual Veterans Day
    program, set to begin at 11 a.m. The program will include an aerial performance by the Golden Stars Skydiving Team, patriotic music played by the Notre Dame High School marching band and Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich reading a presidential proclamation.
