Thunderstorms Predicted for Monday
A low-pressure system will swing through Southern California, bringing with it rain, colder temperatures and gusty winds.
A late-season storm will bring cold temperatures, rain and wind to Southern California through Tuesday, according to a special weather statement from the National Weather Service.
The cause of this storm is a low-pressure system that swing through the Los Angeles area late Monday and Tuesday, dropping temperatures 5- to 10-degrees below average, according to forecasters.
Monday's high will be near 68 degrees, according to the NWS.

Meteorologists predict gusty south to southeast winds on Monday, and wind advisories may be issued for some areas; however, the highest predicted gusts in Palos Verdes are 20 mph.
The NWS predicts a 70 percent chance of rain—including the possibility of thunderstorms—in Palos Verdes on Monday. Showers are more likely in the morning. There is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday morning.

"Wet and slick roadways are expected for the morning and evening work commutes, with increased delays likely," forecasters said.
