The weekend is finally here and so is the Palos Verdes Street Fair and Music Festival! We've got the best bets around town for your weekend ahead.

Why Go: Spend the weekend enjoying live music, shopping, food and carnival attractions at the PV Street Fair! Plus, don’t miss Saturday’s “Top Dog” Dog Show, featuring local pups of all ages, sizes and shapes.

Why Go: Rise and shine with a four-mile walk/run from the Hermosa Beach Pier to the Manhattan Beach Pier and back. Late registration is available on race day starting at 6 a.m.

Why Go: Recycle your gently used children’s clothing, enjoy Adventureplex with the family, and take home summer essentials for the kids! Leftover clothing goes to charity.

ARTISAN BIKE RACKS – THE BIG UNVEILING
Where/When: 14th Street and the Strand, Hermosa Beach; June 11, 11 a.m.
Why Go: Check out the unveiling of Leadership Hermosa Beach’s artsy new bike racks, which will debut in different locations around the city. The new racks, in the shapes of waves or surfboards, will encourage eco-friendly travel just in time for summer.

Where/When: Veteran’s Park, 309 Esplanade, Redondo Beach; June 12, 7:30 a.m.
Why Go: Do you have what it takes? The 2011 Triathlon features a half-mile ocean swim, six-mile bike ride and two-mile scenic run. Whew! Commemorative awards will be given to the top three participants in each division.
