Southern California Edison crews are currently working to restore power to 50 customers in the city, according to the company's map of current outages last updated about noon today. According to the map, customers have been without power since about noon Sunday because of storms that produced rain and damaging winds.

As of 5 a.m., 3,912 Southern California Edison customers were still without electricity, down from 8,126 late Sunday night. Rain and fierce winds that downed power lines were blamed for the Southland outages.

A storm also hit the area last weekend, leaving residents in Rancho Palos Verdes and Rolling Hills .

Rancho Palos Verdes residents are expected to have their power restored by about 7 p.m. tonight, according to the Southern California Edison map.
