Skate the Hill Saturday

The skating event in Rolling Hills Estates will feature professional skateboarders, local skate shops, ramps and rails.

As city officials look into possible locations for a skatepark on the Peninsula, a skate event will be held this Saturday in Rolling Hills Estates featuring ramps, rails and skateboarding professionals.

The "Skate the Hill" session will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Ernie Howlett Park, 25851 Hawthorne Blvd. in Rolling Hills Estates.

"For four hours kids can come and skate ramps, rails, and grind boxes. We’re going to have pros and local skate shops coming to do demos and hand out lots of cool stuff,” said Ellen November, director of Skatepark PV, which is putting on the event, in a previous interview.
