Samba Celebrates Mardi Gras a la Rio

Get into the spirit of the season—which means lots of feasting, drinking and dancing—at the Brazilian-themed restaurant in Redondo.

When someone says "Mardi Gras," Bourbon Street and Zydeco bands might spring to mind. Think again! Mardi Gras is huge in Brazil, where the Carnival season culminates in samba-dancing parades through the "Sambadrome."

Want to join the fun? We have a Brazilian restaurant right here in Redondo Beach: Samba. Beautiful dancers, wearing more on their heads than on their bodies, put on a samba show Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30 p.m.

Try some of the specialty cocktails in the bar, like the Brazilian Mojito. You can order appetizers—small steaks, tacos or sliders—or plunge directly into the all-you-can-eat Churrasco Feast. That includes a salad bar and veggies, and meats carved at your table. Enjoy barbecued beef, pork, lamb, turkey, chicken, sausage, and seafood and more—no limit!
