Pet Clinic to be Held Today at Hesse Park

The clinic will offer pet licensing and low cost vaccinations for pets.

The City of Rancho Palos Verdes will host its annual Pet Licensing, Vaccination and Microchip Clinic tonight from 6-7:30 p.m. at Hesse Park's upper picnic area near the parking lot.

Representatives from County of Los Angeles Animal Care and Control Department and Southern California Veterinary Vaccine Clinic will be at the park to help process pet licenses and administer low cost vaccinations.

In order to be eligible for the discounted license fee, owners applying for a new license should bring a copy of a valid rabies vaccination certificate and a copy of animal sterilization.

A veterinarian will administer rabies vaccinations for $10 per vaccination and the DHHP (4 in1) vaccination for $16. The 4 in 1 will be available for dogs 6 weeks of age and older, and the Bordetella for dogs 8 weeks and older will cost $13.

Vaccines for cats will also be available Wednesday night. Rabies vaccinations for cats at least 4 months will cost $10, or $20 for Purevax. The FVRCP (3 in 1) vaccine is also available for cats 8 weeks and older for $16. The FELV feline leukemia vaccine is available for cats 9 weeks and older for $18.

Cash only for vaccines and microchips. Cash or checks will be accepted for pet licensing.
