Palos Verdes Beaches Among L.A.'s Healthiest

Beaches in Palos Verdes are graded by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

Palos Verdes beaches received some of the highest marks in the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health's most recent round of grading.

The 30-day grades are a reflection of water quality samples taken over the past month. Beaches graded "C" or below are considered too unhealthy to be used by beachgoers. The most recent marks were released Wednesday.

Arroyo Circle extended, Malaga Cove, Bluff Cove, Long Point, Abalone Cove and Portuguese Bend all earned "A" grades.
