Movie Night at Home

Ditch the expensive movie tickets and concession popcorn for a much cheaper, "homestyle" movie experience.

A night out at the movies with the kids can be very costly. For a family of four, the cost of two adult tickets and two children's tickets is $40 - and that's before adding all the popcorn, drinks and snacks!

It is much more cost effective to have a movie night at home. You can buy a Netflix monthly membership for just $7.99 per month. They carry all the latest titles and you can download and watch them immediately.

We all know that the snacks you have at the movies are a treat, but the cost is very inflated. With a trip to your local mom and pop store you can fill up on all the snack foods you like!

Trader Joe's has some great prices on healthier snack foods. To make movie night more special, invite your friends or neighbors over to add to the fun. You could even switch homes for movie night every other week to shake things up.

No need to get a babysitter, you can all enjoy watching a movie together, or have the kids watch one while the adults watch another. Spice up the night with different themes, or add games to the mix.

You don't need to spend a lot of money to have fun, so be creative and make the most of your hard-earned money by spending movie night at home. Grab your favorite snacks, a great movie and snuggle up to watch a great flick with family and friends.
