The Yellow Vase is one of those charming, trendy restaurants that never gets old—perhaps because its food and pastries are always top-notch and melt-in-your-mouth fresh. Besides those cookies (French macaroons in a variety of flavors) the Yellow Vase pastry cases are full of gourmet cupcakes, generous slices of tarts and torts, and layer cakes.

There's heartier fare as well. Breakfast and lunch offerings include eggs, waffles, paninis, soups and salads. And they cater.

The cafe is charming with its outdoor, umbrella'd tables, indoor flowers and knick-knacks—but has just the right amount of femininity. The dominant color is yellow, not pink, the flowers are fresh (and for sale), and the food is great. With so many warm, sunny days around the corner, The Yellow Vase can be the perfect place for business meetings, small get-togethers, or getaway luncheons.
