The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County decreased Sunday for the 26th consecutive day while the Orange County average price fell under $4 for the first time since Aug. 9.
The Los Angeles County average price fell 2.1 cents to $4.038—19.9 cents less than it was one week ago and 30.9 cents lower than one month ago but 16.9 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The Los Angeles County average price has decreased 66.7 cents over the past 26 days, including 3.3 cents on both Friday and Saturday, after rising 50.4 cents over the previous seven days and reaching a record high of $4.705 on Oct. 9.
