Gas Prices Dip to Lowest Since February

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County is $4.091.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell Sunday for the 26th consecutive day and 32nd time in 33 days, dropping two-tenths of a cent to $4.091, its lowest amount since Feb. 7.

According to GasPriceWatch.com, the average price of regular gasoline in Rancho Palos Verdes is $4.05—42 cents higher than the U.S. national average of $3.63. No average was provided for other cities on the Peninsula.

GasPriceWatch.com reports that the lowest-priced regular gas on the Palos Verdes Peninsula is $3.989 at the Chevron station at the intersection of Hawthorne Boulevard and Highridge Road in Rancho Palos Verdes and $3.909 at the ARCO station at the corner of Hawthorne Boulevard and Silver Spur Road in Rolling Hills Estates, according to reports filed on the website Sunday.

The Los Angeles County average price is 3.1 cents less than one week ago, 23.2 cents lower than one month ago and 25.7 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price in Los Angeles County has dropped 23.4 cents over the past 33 days, including one-tenth of a cent on Saturday. It had risen 32 times in 33 days before the decreases began, increasing 57.6 cents.
