Construction work on Hawthorne Boulevard will likely tie up traffic in the coming weeks as the road is resurfaced as part of a rehabilitation project.
The resurfacing work, which began last week, is expected to continue through July 13.
Drivers should avoid the road between Indian Peak and Silver Spur, and Palos Verdes Drive North and the north city limits.
