Sprouts

Giorgio's in Palos Verdes may have closed several years ago, but it looks like it's coming back. It appears that Giorgio's will replace Cafe Cegos on the Brickwalk in Rolling Hills Estates. (Thanks to reader Ian Bisco for the tip!)

Coastline Brewing Co. received approval from the Redondo Beach Planning Commission to open a brewery and tap room in North Redondo Beach. The owners expect to start shipping beer before Christmas; the tap room will open in Spring 2014.

Dunkin' Donuts is coming to the South Bay! According to a news release, the coffee-and-doughnut company has approved a franchise proposal for 18 locations in the South Bay and Orange County. They're expected to open in 2015.

The Hermosa Beach City Council last week approved a 30-room, three-story boutique hotel on Hermosa Avenue, the Easy Reader reported. If construction begins in Winter 2014 as predicted, The Clash hotel may be open by Summer 2016.

Preliminary work has begun on an animal hospital in South Redondo Beach. Just last week, the old self-serve car wash on Pacific Coast Highway was demolished to make way for the new construction.

EaterLA reports that The Rockefeller MB—owned by the same group as the Rockefeller in Hermosa Beach—will open in place of the shuttered Mr. Cecil's on Highland Avenue in Manhattan Beach.

Shutters

The South Bay Christian Church held its final services Sunday. The church closed due to low attendance.

It's the last call for Side Door Restaurant in Manhattan Beach, according to the Easy Reader. The bar was set to open for the final time Sunday night.
