PV Golf Club to Finish Renovations in July

The Palos Verdes Golf Club undergoes significant renovations to its course.

The Palos Verdes Golf Club is scheduled to complete its $1.3 million renovation in early July.

The renovations to the course, which was designed in 1924 by William P. Bell with George Thomas consulting,  include all new bunkers, new greens and green extensions in select areas, new chipping areas on every hole, tree removals to optimize views and several new back tees, according to a news release posted online.

According to the news release, the course renovations will improve playability and interest of the course "while maintaining the integrity of a truly classic design."

"The views alone make playing this course a magnificent experience, and the updates to the bunkers, greens, tees and new chipping areas have our members buzzing with anticipation and excitement," General Manager and Chief Operating Officer Steve Hockett said in a statement.
