Shop Local, Win $4,000 Gift Basket

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce's Local First Holiday Passport encourages residents to visit local businesses.

Palos Verdes residents who want a chance at a prize basket worth $4,000 don't have much time left to turn in a stamped Holiday Passport as part of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce's Local First program.

The program, which began Dec. 1, encourages people to download a Holiday Passport and visit local businesses to receive stamps on the passport. Once a passport has 25 or more stamps, the participant can mail it to the PVP Chamber to enter a drawing for the prize basket.

People do not need to purchase anything at participating businesses—including Mayer's Bakery, AMUSE, Small Wonders, Zask Gallery, Apothecary Beauty Boutique, Rolling Robots, the Palos Verdes Art Center, Felix Design Studio and Malaga Bank, among others—to receive a stamp.

The grand prize gift basket includes gift certificates, music classes, concert tickets, jewelry, toys, exercise equipment, art and more.
