Interactive Map: Unemployment in PV

Though the Palos Verdes Peninsula's unemployment rate increased slightly, the cities still have some of the lowest rates in the state.

The unemployment rates for cities on the Palos Verdes Peninsula in January increased at most only two-tenths of a percent from December, according to preliminary data released by the state on Friday.

The rate in Palos Verdes Estates increased from 2.3 percent in December to 2.5 percent in January, while Rancho Palos Verdes' rate increased from 3.5 percent to 3.7 percent. Rolling Hills' increased from 1.7 percent to 1.8 percent, and Rolling Hills Estates saw a slight increase from 3 percent to 3.2 percent

The state of California as a whole saw a similar trend with a slight increase to 10.4 percent from 10.3 percent in December.
