Harold: Plays Well With Others

There are many adoptable puppies and older dogs this week. Here is a photo gallery and list of adorable potential pets.

This week there are lots of adoptable dogs to choose from.

Check out the accompanying photo gallery featuring some of the available dogs. All are current on vaccines and have had their rabies shots. They are also de-wormed and microchipped.

You can view adoptable dogs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday at Petco, 852 N. Western Ave., San Pedro.

Harold

Age: 3 years

Sex: Male

Breed: Spaniel/Papillon mix

Personality: Harold is a hilarious little guy who wants nothing more than a little love and a new companion. He gets along great with kids and other dogs. His extremely soft coat is great for petting, which he loves.

Charlotte

Age: 7 months

Sex: Female

Breed: Poodle/terrier mix

Personality: Charlotte is housebroken. She is a bit shy, but will come around with patience.

Hugo

Age: 7 months

Sex: Male

Breed: Boxer mix

Personality: Hugo has beautiful markings that match his disposition.

Markit

Age: 1 year

Sex: Male

Breed: Tibetan terrier mix 

Personality: Markit would make a great addition to an active family. He is sweet and energetic, ready to run and play as soon as he is pulled from his crate.  

Louie

Age: 3 months

Sex: Male

Breed: Chihuahua mix  

Personality: Louie has a mellow, lovable temperament. 

Dewey

Age: 3 months

Sex: Male

Breed: Chihuahua mix   

Personality: Dewey is incredibly sweet, just like his brother, Louie.

Krista

Age: 1-2 years

Sex: Female

Breed: Shepherd/retriever mix

Personality: Krista is a sweet, sunny girl who always wants to know what’s going on around her. She loves everyone and would make a very happy addition to any family.

Malcolm

Age: 1-2 years

Sex: Male

Breed: Terrier mix

Personality: Malcolm is incredibly mellow and loves it when people hold him. He also has some really fun hair!

Andy

Age: 8 months

Sex: Male

Breed: Boston terrier/pit bull mix

Personality: Andy is another pup who is extremely happy and affectionate. He would do best in an adult household and has a prior hip injury from a hit-and-run accident. He is able to walk without any problems, but may not be able to keep up with small children.

Liza

Age: 9-10 years

Sex: Female

Breed: Toy poodle  

Personality: Liza loves to be carried everywhere and cuddled. She gets along well with cats and is used to a lot of company from four-legged friends. She would do well with a couple who is retired or works from home.

Ginger

Age: 12 years

Sex: Female

Breed: Shepherd mix   

Personality: Although she is a senior, Ginger is a lively girl who loves love! She is all about snuggling and finding the right person to love her back.

Darla

Age: 5 months

Sex: Female

Breed: Dachshund/Chihuahua mix

Personality: Darla loves to play. She is extremely happy and healthy.

Background: Darla and her siblings, Alfalfa and Spanky, were all rescued after being thrown in a dumpster. She is too young to be spayed, but she is currently on a vaccination schedule.

Become a foster family

Doggies 911/Paws With Needs is looking for foster homes for dogs. The organization will provide training, transport and necessary supplies. All you have to provide is a temporary home. To apply for fostering, fill out an application here and make a note that it is for foster care.
