Photo Exhibit Explores Dark Side
Nighttime photos provide a mystical centerpiece to Summer Studios' monthly art jam.
Crowds packed Summer Studios Friday night for the academy's monthly art jam. Held on the fourth Friday of every month, the event features food, music and different artistic themes.
The Photographic and Digital Artists of the provided the current gallery for Friday's theme. Titled "Shot in the Dark," the collection of photos demonstrate art captured in dim settings. Studio founder David Parsons added a philosophical twist to the theme.
"I take it as meaning 'a shot in the dark' -- something that is spontaneous that you don't know the end result," Parsons said.
