The 25th Annual Palos Verdes Street Fair & Music Festival is bringing back the largest carnival in the South Bay as well as five new events to the downtown Rolling Hills Estates the weekend of June 9 and 10.
Admission is free and festival-goers are invited to compete in five new food competitions for a chance to win a trophy. Categories include a Grilled Cheese Sandwich Cook-Off, a pie-eating competition, the "Best of PV Pie" and "Best of PV Cupcake," and on Sunday only, a Chili Cook-Off.
The "Top Dogs" dog show is returning from last year and will be held Saturday morning at the Big Tent in the Community Plaza. The festival will also include free, continuous live entertainment on two stages throughout the weekend, an international food court and beer/wine garden, free children’s petting zoo and pony rides, carnival rides, pet adoptions, local merchants and several non-profit organizations.
Each year, more than 40,000 people attend the festival, which is produced by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and presented by Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance.
