PVLD Classical Music Series 2012

Palos Verdes Library District's Classical Music Series brings great music into the library. This performance features Christropher Goodpasture, a native of Los Angeles. He has presented acclaimed recitals across the United States, culminating in reviews in the Sarasota Herald Tribune, the San Mateo Journal and the Washington Post; and participated in multiple live radio broadcasts on 88.5 KCSN and 91.5 KUSC. He has presented concerts at the Kennedy Center, Sarasota Opera House, Weill Recital Hall (NYC), Richard M. Nixon Library, and the Bing Theater, Los Angeles. Mr. Goodpasture  received the 1st prize and public prize in the 2011 International Klaviersommer Competition in Germany and the 2008 American Fine Arts Festival Competition, 3rd prize in the highest division of the 2010 Los Angeles International Bicentennial Liszt Competition, and other top prizes from the USC Concerto Competition, and the MTAC and MTNA state copmpetitions. He was recently named the 2011 Most Outstanding Graduate from the Thornton School of Music at USC. His former teahers and mentors have included Stewardt Gordon, Norman Krieger and Yoshikazu Nagai. Currently, he studies under John Perry as a full scholarship student at the Thornton School.
